We Want to Activate Folks
No speeches. No march.
We're focusing on ACTIVATING y'all for the election. We want to help Kentuckians like you get involved.... to make a plan to vote early, to help you get your friends and family to vote early, to volunteer for nonpartisan door knocking to get out the vote (GOTV), and to learn about election protection and how to volunteer.
No Kings events all around the country are doing the same thing: Getting people out on early voting--not just protest--but to DO SOMETHING.
ON SATURDAY
To activate folks to vote early and volunteer, on Saturday 17 October we want you to visit four tables/areas:
1: Vote Early + Voter Guides Table: Learn about how to vote early, host an event to get your friends and family to vote early, and learn who is on the ballot (nonpartisan voter guides).
2: Election Protection Table: Learn about the elction protection hotline, national events, and how to volunteer to become a nonpartisan election observer here in Kentucky
3: GOTV Volunteers Table: Volunteer to get out the vote (GOTV)! Learn about the different nonpartisan ways you can help get people to the polls: door knocking, textbanking, phonebanking, etc.
4: Organizations Table: Want to learn more about the different organizations represented here today? Come check us out here.
***Volunteer/Sign Up! When you've visited all four tables please complete this Google form to volunteer!
It wouldn't be No Kings without a demonstration so....
2: HONK-AND-WAVE DEMONSTRATION - 1-3pm
Bring nonpartisan signs encouraging folks to vote early, volunteer, and protect our democracy! We'll be lining the street for a honk-and-wave
3: RESISTANCE CHOIR + DRUM CIRCLE - 1-3pm
We won't have speeches, a program, or a march, but we will have some local musicians from the Resistance Choir and the Drum Circle perfoming.
